Eight Local Road Closures and Roadworks Likely to Cause Delays
We have been informed of the following temporary road closures and roadworks which are likely to cause delays, and they are shown in date order.

Birling Avenue ~ long term road closure
Birling Avenue will be closed from 11th November until 17th February 2020 to enable SGN to replace gas mains.
Maidstone Town Centre – temporary road closure
From 27th November the A229 Bishops Way, Palace Avenue and Lower Stone Street, Maidstone will be closed between the junctions with High Street and A249 Mote Road for resurfacing works.
The closure will be in force between 21:00 and 05:00 and work is scheduled for completion by 6th December.
Water Lane at the Roundwell junction ~ long term road closure
Water Lane near its junction with Roundwell will be closed between 2nd and 23rd December to allow a main sewer connection to be made.
New Cut Road ~ traffic lights
Two way traffic lights will be in operation near the southern end of New Cut Road between 27th January and 14th February 2020.
Weavering Street ~ short term road closure
Weavering Street will be closed at a point close to the Fox and Goose on 3rd February 2020 to enable BT to undertake cabling works.
Ware Street ~ short term road closure
Ware Street, close to the entrance to the allotments and the golf course, will be closed between the 10th and 12th of February 2020 to allow BT to carry out ducting works.
Windmill Heights ~ temporary road closure
Windmill Heights will be closed from February 17th to February 21st 2020 to enable SGN to replace gas mains.
Grovewood Drive South ~ long term road closure
Grovewood Drive South will be closed close to its junction with New Cut Road from 24th February until 13th March 2020 for the installation of ductwork to serve street lights and traffic signals.
